Mary Anne Miller grew up in Montreal where she was lucky to have Ethel Seath and Anne Savage as art teachers in her school. In Toronto, evening courses expanded her visual arts horizon while she was employed in a day job and they led her to illustrating small magazines, books and other publications. Numerous solo and group shows have been outlets for her work in watercolours and acrylics which often have themes relating to the natural world. Colours and patterns catch her imagination. The Toronto Heliconian, the Toronto Watercolour Society and other art groups have been sources of support and inspiration.
